Overview

For the optimum in productivity we offer custom automation solutions to allow you to get the most from your Odyssey laser wire stripping technology. 

Wires are fed from a spool and maintained under strict tension control (< 5 gram variation). After stripping, depending on the configuration, wires are either respooled or cut and deposited into a feed tray or even rewound onto individual bobbins.

High performance wire feed systems guarantee no stress to the wire and allow for partial or fully unattended operation

Strip Types

The Odyssey-1 system is capable of selectively stripping individual wires from a ribbon cable

‚ÄčIn addition, the same laser source can be used to cut the individual wires enabling some precision connectorization - with the highest accuracy strip lengths
 

Materials

All Odyssey systems are capable of stripping polyimide type enamel insulations found on catheter wiring and magnet wires. Note the laser will not strip fluoropolymers such as PTFE or ETFE.
