Data Cable Stripping
Conventional solutions often cannot properly handle ethernet and network cable stripping tasks. Laser data cable strippers are the answer.
High performance data cables are used in many applications, but are common in data centres to connect the various computers.
InfiniBand is a computer network communications link used in high-performance computing featuring very high throughput. It is used for data interconnect both among and within computers. Today it is the most commonly used interconnect in supercomputers.
In terms of termination, the high performance of the cable gives rise to a number of challenges. For instance for the highest performance cables, bending of the conductors is not allowed which makes using mechanical tools impossible.
The Mercury range is ideal for data cable stripping. For the majority of network, ethernet, and other demanding cable designs a single Mercury 1 or 2 can be used to strip the jacket, foil shield and inner dielectrics.

Automotive USB data cables
Data cables are becoming increasing common in automotive applications. Despite their reasonably simple construction, they can lead to manufacturing problems where requirements for the highest yields meet high volume manufacturing requirements.
The Mercury range of wire strippers are a logical choice both for cutting the jacket and inner dieletrics.
