The laser radiation is completely enclosed in a laser safe housing in the same way that a CD or DVD player is – making it safe for use on the shop floor. However, if access panels on a totally enclosed system are removed then the laser product is no longer a Class 1 laser product and the precautions applicable to the embedded laser must be applied. Our systems feature a dual fail-safe interlock mechanism and a category 0 emergency stop.
Potentially harmful fumes are extracted and filtered by a HEPA and carbon filter to make the air safe for return to the factory. Our laser wire strippers will not operate if the fume extraction is not switched on.
