Polymer Wire Stripper

Mercury-2

The Mercury-2 is Laser Wire Solutions’ workhorse laser wire stripper for stripping a wide range of polymer insulated wires, ranging in size from 0.001″ – 0.2″ (0.025 mm – 5 mm). The large process area allows for multiple wires to be accurately stripped in one step.

Compared to other Mercury machines, the Mercury-2 has a large fixture plate which allows for processing more wires at once, and those with longer strip length requirements.

Wire stripping for polymer wire insulations, re-imagined. The Mercury-2 laser wire stripping solution vaporizes any polymer-type insulation cleanly and precisely, whilst harmlessly reflecting from the shield or conductor. The enclosed laser system and precise methodology makes it the perfect addition to your shop floor.. Experience effortless wire stripping with the easy to use benchtop system that is the Mercury-2.

Key Features of the Mercury-2

Is the Mercury-2 suitable for my application?

Whether you’re handling single conductor wires, coax cables, or ribbonized cables, the Mercury-2 is the versatile wire processor that will make your production line smoother. The easy-to-use, recipe controlled system requires minimal training with your operators while ensuring consistent results in seconds. With the generous processing area, the Mercury-2 can process lengths of up to 125 mm and widths of up to 203 (8″).

No more heavy-duty machinery that takes up vital space in your factory. The benchtop Mercury-2 will slot straight into your production line on any bench wherever it is required as either a stand alone machine, or an integrated system.

By utilizing the power of laser processing you’ll be able to achieve high quality results, without having to rely on operator capability. It makes wire processing an easy task that can be easily completed in a matter of seconds.

While lasers can process most wire and cable materials, we recommend producing a small sample of wire for testing to ensure processing suitability.

How do I order?
Complete the short form below or email sales@laserwiresolutions.com directly to discuss your requirements. We recommend sending a sample of your wire for us to process and check the suitability, we’ll then provide you with a report to ensure the results meet your requirements.

What support will I receive with this machine?
All our machines come with a 1-year warranty and you will have the option to purchase training for a small team of operators. As your warranty reaches its expiry, you’ll have the option to extend this warranty or pay for ad-hoc support from our Service team.

The Mercury-2 is suitable for multi-layer cables with polymer insulation, particularly those found in Internet and Data applications.

The machine can process a wide range of materials but we recommend consulting a Laser Wire Solutions expert before stripping a new type of material other than what we processed during your sample.

Your machine should only be maintained by a Laser Wire Solutions Service Engineer or an individual who has received the correct level of training. Full training options can be found on our Service page.
