Wales Week in London welcomed guests to The Embassy of Switzerland from politics, academia, culture, and companies with connections between Wales and Switzerland.
Laser Wire Solutions received an invitation to join this exclusive event alongside fellow international businesses such as PwC, Penderyn Distillery, and Furrer+Frey, to celebrate the value of ‘unity in diversity’ and partnerships between the two countries.
The reception began with opening remarks from Ambassador Markus Leitner, who praised the close relationship between the Welsh and Swiss business communities. Secretary of State for Wales, Simon Hart, followed and joined the Ambassador in celebrating the relationship held. Mr. Hart also commented on the resilience Welsh businesses have shown throughout the pandemic and continue to do so to help rebuild the Welsh economy.
There were also several mentions of how Wales has an inspiring sense of innovation, and yet remains true to its sense of community.
The occasion provided a fantastic opportunity for Laser Wire Solutions representatives to meet with fellow businesses to discuss international growth strategies, pain points, post-pandemic opportunities, and ways to increase the links between the Swiss and Welsh in the future.
Upon learning about the life-saving technology and research that we provide and the impact it has on the medical device industry as a whole, there was clear enthusiasm for the work Laser Wire Solutions is conducting and the impact we would have on the future of medical devices.
With Switzerland being recognized as the leader in innovation in Europe, particularly in life sciences and medical devices, ranking first in the World Index of Healthcare Innovation in 2021, Laser Wire Solutions were proud to showcase its strong links with the country with its partner and primary distributor for the Mercury-4, Schleuniger, headquartered in Thun, Switzerland.
Laser Wire Solutions prides itself on providing innovative solutions for medical device manufacturers to help save lives and looks forward to working closely with Swiss partners and customers in the future.
We would like to extend our gratitude to The Embassy of Switzerland for their hospitality, and Wales Week in London for our invitation.
