We’re delighted to announce Noah’s Ark as our Charity of the Year 2022/2023.
Each year we ask the team to nominate charities close to their heart, which is based in Wales, and the whole team then vote on the final choice.
This year we had some fantastic nominations for very worthwhile causes including Velindre Cancer Centre, Prostate Cymru, and Mind Cymru. However, the charity with the highest number of votes was Noah’s Ark.
Noah’s Ark is a remarkable charity that fundraises exclusively for the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales.
The charity raises funds for specialist medical equipment and facilities which has included pioneering medical equipment, facilities and family support services.
Noah’s Ark also commit significant funding to support the work of the play specialist team, who provide therapeutic care for children going through difficult procedures at the hospital.
Gavyn James who put forward the nomination for Noah’s Ark has said, “Absolutely an amazing charity. They looked after my nephew when he was born with acute hemophilia. Every single one of the staff there were absolutely amazing!”
Throughout 2020 and 2021, Wales Air Ambulance, Laser Wire Solutions Charity of the Year 2020/2021, received a donation of £836.56 to support them in providing critical emergency care directly to those in need and transporting them directly to the hospital.
